New Moon in Aries

This New Moon in Aries feels more like a new beginning than the Spring Equinox did. You might be feeling more optimistic or inspired. Between the Sun, Moon and Mercury we’ve got some fiery Mars energy swirling around. People are combative and maybe feeling a bit braver. Mars itself is in thinky Aquarius, so the best course of action will have to include a well thought out strategy.

Monday and Tuesday Mars will be travelling with Saturn. This is an aspects that can have people held accountable for their actions- keep this in mind when you decide how to proceed. This is not a time to “fake it ’til you make it“- Saturn (authorities and higher ups) will definitely be ready to question and challenge you. This is what I call a “no bullshit zone”. Maybe you are Saturn in this story, and you’re going to have to call attention to someone’s hinky behavior- Mars is telling you to be brave. This aspect can make people cranky, especially if they feel unnecessary restrictions are holding them back (I’m not talking specifically about Covid restriction- any kind of restriction applies here).

By the time Mars gets away from Saturn on Tuesday, Venus will have moved into her sign of exaltation: Pisces. This is a dreamy, idealistic Venus. Venus may have you feeling desperate to escape, even if it’s just into a bucket of cheese cake. One of the ways to mitigate the sugarier side of the planet is to do something special for yourself- be really kind to yourself in some way. Generosity is a big idea attached to this Venus, and it’s okay to be generous with yourself. If you already have this figured out, then it’s a good time to pass the generosity on to someone else.

From April 8th – April 16th Jupiter and Neptune are travelling together. They’re in the sign of Pisces. I was curious to see what the degree they’re travelling through, the 24th degree of Pisces, is said to mean. What I found on Linda Hill’s site, sabiamsymbols.com is fascinating!

This shows living with others, sharing the same space or efforts to create a happy life. The people pictured all live together and have ‘Created a Great World All Their Own’. No matter how well people get along, people still have to compromise and give and take in order to sustain good community relations. Drawn together by similar hopes and ambitions it is ironic that sometimes compromise is the only way to successful coexistence. Making the most of what is available, even though it is restrictive, will help dispel any feelings of being cutoff and isolated. Who are you comfortable sharing your space with? Who would you have sharing your desert island?
Adaptability and cohabitation. Considering others. Coexistence. The need for new people to grow and flourish. Apartments. People moving in. Seeking like minds. Social intrigues.”

This is spooky in how applicable it is to our current state of affairs! The joining here of Jupiter and Neptune is also a potential wish fulfilling aspect, so on those days, it will benefit you to be really clear about what you want from your life going forward. Remember to avoid thinking of it from a place of lack. Thinking about how broke you feel while wishing for money is counter productive. Focusing on the good things or times when you’ve felt abundant and wishing for more of that is the way to go. One of the tricks I learned was to make a full page gratitude list before wish making. Starting a gratitude practice during the Jupiter/Neptune dance will have powerful effects.

At the very least, the days are getting longer and the Sun is shining brighter. Sending loads of love!

Be kind to yourself. xoxo
