Full Moon in Aquarius

Date: August 10, 2022

Full Moon in Aquarius on August 11th, perfecting at 7:35 PM mountain daylight time

We have a Full Moon in Aquarius coming at us Thursday at 7:35 in the evening in Edmonton. When the Moon travels through Aquarius there can be discomfort with messy emotions. Aquarius likes its space- it’s the sign of individuation, and intellectualism. The best use of the Moon in Aquarius is to create strong emotional boundaries. The brightness of the Full Moon can shine light on the areas you require space and autonomy.

We can use the brightness of this Moon to gain a double dose of objectivity. The Full Moon in and of itself through the Sun/Moon opposition, can foster objectivity. Plus, you can achieve distance with the Moon filtering through the sign of Aquarius, and gain clear vision where emotions have allowed a blind spot in the past- this full Moon can bring you the opportunity to see the problem clearly and create the emotional distance you need.

The Moon is speeding towards a retrograde Saturn. They are, in fact, only 2 1/2 degrees apart during the full Moon, so this Moon Saturn conjunction is a feature of the Full Moon chart and will therefore last longer than a typical Moon aspect. In Planets in Transit, Rob Hand describes the connection as –

“At this time you are inclined to keep your feelings and innermost thoughts to yourself. A sense of loneliness or isolation frequently accompanies this transit, or depression and general sense of pessimism. However, you should recognize that life probably looks much worse now than it really is, so don’t take your negative feelings too seriously.”

This is important to keep in mind because the Joy planet, Jupiter, is retrograde which makes it a bit tricky for us to easily access our joy. With the Sun and now Venus in Leo, tapping in to some luscious and creative Leo energy can help get past the Saturn downer. BUT, if you do have responsibilities to tend to, this Full Moon can shine a light on the best path forward to getting it done. Saturn is a harsh task master, so responsibilities may get in your face in the next couple of weeks.

If you’re finding it challenging to locate your joy during the next few weeks, or you want to send an empowered message to the ether this full Moon, HERE is a handout of Mantras I compiled for you. You can use these to inspire yourself, or to meditate with- whatever you need to bring yourself into a better head space. Saturn can really ignite that nagging negative voice in our heads, so having tools to move through  Saturn moments can really help. Another effective way to lift Saturn energy is through music. So if you’re trying to find your center, use music that lifts you up to move into the heart of your happiness.

To find a rewarding balance between finding joy and attending to obligations- work hard, and when you can, indulge in something luxurious just for you.

I’ll be sending out some extra positivity. Be kind to yourself, and patient with other. xo
